List of Printers that take CLI-8 Carts

Have an MP830. Want to buy another Canon.
Had a list of Canon printers and ink cart reqs.
But on vacation and on a gosh awful slow computer.

Want to buy a 2nd printer, but want one like MP330 or MP560, but they do not take CLI-8 ink tanks that I know of.

It is very hard to buy Canon printer which uses CLI-8 cartridges in retail stores. They cleared out those printers the past summer. You may be able find them on Craigslist and Kijiji classified ad.

To check what type of ink cartridage used in a Canon printer that you are interested in, go the Canon website and check on the "what is in the box" tab.

Thanks for the help people. Grandma's PC is sooooooo slow.

Perhaps a better question then as I should have guessed that the CLI-8 has moved on.

What is the best comparible type to the old CLI's? I.e. What are they using now for 4 blk, Y, Cyan, Mag, inks + Black pigment?

I am looking for something like the MP560. But can the inks I bought from Hobicolors for the CLI-8 be used in the MP560 carts?

Any Canon suggestions for Text, Photos, scan, and copy?

newegg has canon pixma MX700s, incl 4 CLI8s/PGI5 carts starting at $59:

re certified: $59
open box: $77
new: $109

the re certified price is close to the cartridge cost, so good way to get some new carts and a backup that uses the CLI8/PGI5 carts
