Getting Fingers Dirty
I Had a Lexmark C 510 printer.. note the word had, I ended up taking it to the local dump (Hope such a statement dosen't get me barred from this website when you consider the amount of work done by everybody in sorting out and researching printer problems)
First the cartridges, around 60 plus each x 4, so thats 240 a go... you could buy a few inkjets for that !
It was possible to refill the cartridges but no way could I find to reset them.
Even with new cartridges one of the colours stopped printing correctly after a few months, so was it a faulty cartridge or printer problem ? Who knows, with the cost of the printer at 200 plus the cost of the carts I couldn't afford to continue with this costly enterprise hence the trip to the local dump.
When it did work ok at the beginning, yes it was great for printing stuff out from the internet, it would print 20 pages in the time it took my inkjet to print one and thats the reason I got it. (No use for photographs)
Perhaps I was unlucky but I will stick to inkjets in future no more laser printers for me.
