I was just looking around for a laser printer that does larger scale prints - currently I can only find an 11x17 laser printer locally.

It seems that, as I look online, that is pretty much all that is available on a wide scale.

So i was just thinking how large scale inkjet printing has kind of become pretty common. But laser printers never seemed to go beyond 11x17.

just curious why

Is there some sort of technical limitation?

is a laser color print not as good as an epson inkjet print?

I dont know much about the technicalities but just curious

thanks!

Hey,

in my opinion, the large format print outs have to be extremely high quality as resolution and colors, I don't think laser technology can do that... or may be the cost will be too high!
Any other thoughts?

The cost of the transfer drum rises DRAMATICALLY as the size increases. And the demand for large-scale text documents (a laser printer's forte) is very low.
