Good morning everyone,
I have a problem with my HP OfficeJet 3833. I changed both ink cartridges a week ago. They worked fine for a few days, but now the printer gives me an error saying the black cartridge is not compatible. I must point out that these are compatible and not original cartridges, but so were the previous ones. It seems this is due to the automatic update of the printer connected to the network. After asking ChatGPT, it seems that the currently installed firmware SPP5FN2223AR, build date 2022-05-30, is one of the most problematic regarding cartridge compatibility. So now I need to solve this problem by installing an older firmware, which allows me to use compatible but not original cartridges. I've already deactivated manual updates, but it's too late now. Does anyone have an old firmware they can share for a downgrade? Or is there a way to bypass these useless protections? Thanks everyone for your help.
