There are professional printers on this forum, some retired and some active.

Question: What do you class as "Professional printers" ?...

Referring to people who are paid to operate printers. I was looking for more of a community of print professionals, most of the threads I see here are geared towards home and small business type printers.

@Shawn007, We have both home users and retired professional users, hobby and professional photographers here too, but few are paid to print anymore, they just print for the love of it and most reckon that’s payment enough, stick around and you might learn something... ;)

I have a Canon Pro-100S. That's a "professional" printer, is it not? It better be, that's why I bought it. Because it's called a 'Pro'. Have Canon pulled a fast one on me? Please tell me my printer is professional.

Any printer that can fit on a desktop is NOT "professional", but you can still sell prints made from it.

A true "professional" model will:

Print from roll paper.

Have a user-serviceable waste ink system.

Print wider that 13".

Have spare nozzles to replace failed/clogged nozzles

Have caster to permit moving it!
