Hi. How are you all doing? :)
I just bought a new iP4500 in Canada. Picking it up tomorrow. Hopefully it is the Canadian version and comes with the CD tray. *prays*

My main question is where can I get a Canon chip resetter? I've read about the reDsetter but I can't seem to find any in Canada? Plus eBay search results in Zero for it as well.
Anyone know of any good reputable places I can find close to OEM ink? At a decent price of course.
As far as CIS goes, I'll hold off until I have the extra cash. Is a CIS system worth it or should I stick to manual refilling?
And what is this "German Ink Refill Method" I keep reading about? How do you do it?

I found these sites searching these forums and others:
http://www.atlanticinkjet.com/ink-cartridge-refills-canon-PIXMA-iP4500.asp?Nation=CAN
http://home.eol.ca/~mikling/Contact%20Us.html
These guys above also have an ebay site but don't seem to sell any resetters? I will give them a call tomorrow regardless.

I live in the GTA, Ontario.
I'm looking at ~100 Disc prints a week.

I thank you for any and all input. I'm new to the whole disc printing scene so I'll soak up all the info I can get.

**and yes, my username is a typo, sounds nasty. lol should only be gotloveforall. can a Mod please change it?

EDIT: what is a good program to print HUB PRINTABLE dvds with? Looking to use downloaded disc labels(full) then arrange to size and print. Also, any directions on how to use the CD tray that comes with the iP4500? I don't wanna break it...

I've used Image Specialist inks from MIS and Precision colors. Precision colors (the web address you listed with Mikling in it) is the same and is at a far better price. In addition, it is a company whose owner has been a very helpful participant on this forum even before he was in the aftermarket ink business. It is located in Canada, but they also ship to the US. I've now purchased Canon aftermarket ink from him twice and am very pleased with his product and service. I've used the same ink now for over five years and found it to be very close to OEM Canon ink - so much so that I've used the Canon profiles with little or no tweaking.

ROFLMAO... nice name...

Anyway... quick check.. found this:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Chip-Resetter-FO...14&_trkparms=72:1215|66:2|65:12|39:1|240:1318

Re: the CIS... probably not ideal.. I'd recommend refilling instead if you can... Definitely worth investing the time there.
K, I will stay away from the CIS.
Bought the HKS OM version from their site.
What is the difference between the OM and HOME versions? Other than the 1 and 2-year warranty?

I tried calling up Precision Inks but kept getting voicemail.
Will try again tomorrow.
He's relatively close to me so I'll prolly drive their on my weekend outings. :)
