Nozzle check shows absolutely no black. Tried new cartridge, multiple cleaning cycles, printhead soak, contact pins cleaned, new driver install, etc. I cleaned the purge pads and ran a cleaning cycle, and the black showed up on the pad, so at least some nozzles are clear and the purge is working, but there is still no black at all showing up on the nozzle check. Then tried the head in another ip1500, and the nozzle check showed most of the black nozzles clear. Colors are fine. Tried a new printhead with same results, no black at all. :/
Is my eighty-year-old mom's 1500 toast?
Great forum here. Glad I found you guys. Besides my mom's 1500, I can't wait to dig into three Canon printers (s600, i850s, c530) I just rescued after they were all set out for the trash truck. Darling wife was none too happy, but I explain that at least I'm not out drinkin' and chasing skirts.
