I've been looking for an inkset to go with my new Epson R3000. Key features for me are wide colour gamut, high Dmax and fade resistance. The Inkowl Archival inks for the Epson R2880 (K3 inkset) promise all these features along with high gloss and no bronzing. When reading the spec sheet it seems to be the perfect inkset.
It is, however, a dye/pigment mixture so I'm a bit afraid about their fade resistance. Inkowl claims that it's the same as Epsons K3 inkset because of their "advanced molecular resin" carrier, but somehow it all seems too good to be true.
Does ayone have experience with Inkowl inks? The inks are priced in the same line as IJF and IR inks.... so it's not cheap.
Looking forward to opinions and more info on these dye/pigment mixtures.
