Has anyone done a study, or have an opinion on ink supplied by JR (stands for just refill......JR universal inkjet).
Their filling instruction for canon PGI 520 was hole in top and supplied rubber plug to close after.......they didnt mention that as you filled, the ink dripped out the outlet port!!!!!! after hours of trawling these forums am now wise to the German method. Wife will hopefully soon be talking to me again.

When you use the conventional (top fill) method you are supposed to put the orange shoe over the outlet port first.
Holding it on using an elastic band (best way) and only removing it when you want to put the cartridge back in the printer.
Dont forget to make sure the rubber plug is fitted tightly otherwise the cartridge will continue to leak even when its in the printer.
If you go with the German method which is reckoned to easier, just take your time with the first refill ok.. ;)
