I've been mixing ink for b/w printing for some time, but there's always room for improvement.
I'm using Paul Roark's 6 position inkset, ie Eboni black ranging from 100% to 2% black, with a clear base fluid. Here's a variety of questions:
-> should I use one syringe for the black and diluted black positions, one for the base fluid, and perhaps one for the diluted blue toner? Or can I use one syringe for all three if I rinse carefully? Or .... ?
-> I read somewhere to follow an order for the mixing, can't remember which way - starting with the most dilute or with the 100% black? I think I'd start with the most dilute.
-> can I re-use the same 125cc plastic bottles for working from, after thorough rinsing and drying? They're labeled of course.
Please comment on these and/or if you have some favorite technique feel free to contribute.
TIA,
Paul
