i960 and iP8500 scraper spring?

On the i960 and the iP8500 is there supposed to be a spring for the scraper blade. The i560, i950, ip3000, ip4000, and the ip5000 all have a rebound spring on the plastic scraper blade located at the top front of the purge unit.

These pictures are from an ip5000 and the yellow arrows show where the spring would be located.

Silence hurts, looks like I must have stepped on some members toes here.

Actually don't think that is the reason you didn't get an answer. Just that nobody has taken the time to look or don't know exactly what you are asking. For the heck of it I looked into my ip4200 and it does seem to have that "spring" thingy.

Ditto.
I have an IP5000 and I think it might have that springy-thingy, but since I can't remove the cover, it's hard to be certain.

On30trainman and Jackson thanks for the replies.

Ment to say, if I have stepped on any toes I would like to apologize.

The pictures above are the only decent pictures I could find showing the springs location.
The pictures are from a thread about a iP5000 where the wiper spring came off its hooks.

Ron350,,.... I sent you an email and/or a post and I attached a picture of the complete Purge unit showing where the spring goes. I guess you didn't get it. I'm away from home now and I don't have access to my pictures but I will send it again when I get home.

Thanks Trigger 37 I probably still have email problems.

I stole a scraper spring out of an i560 and put it in the iP8500 and it seams to fit.
Makes me wonder where the original iP8500 spring is hiding.
Guess that spring was eaten by the black hole under my workbench that inhales any small part that hits the floor. LOL
