I asked HP's Virtual Assistant if HP's current full feature software download for my printer included the Dynamic Security feature that disables non-HP cartridge chips. This is it's reply...
"I don’t know based on the available sources.
The documents available mention that some printers may be enabled with dynamic security and that cartridges using a non-HP chip might not work. However, they do not state whether the specific software package Full_Webpack-1321-PS5510_Full_Webpack.exe includes or installs that feature for the HP Photosmart 5510 e-All-in-One Printer series - B111. The sources only identify dynamic security as a printer-related feature in cartridge error articles, not as part of that specific software package."
I would welcome the answer from anybody who knows from personal experience, e.g. who has tried that full feature software/firmware in a HP Photosmart 5510 printer.
