HP D1470 fails to recognise color cartridges (three!)

On changing my near empty color cartridge 22 on HP D1470 the message color cartridge not recognised came up. I tried two more compatible cartridges and got same message. I have carefully cleaned all contacts on cartridge and printer, but no improvement. I can print black if I take out the color cartridge. Any solutions? Do I need to try with a genuine new HP 22 cartridge? Or is there another solution? Not seen any ideas on the net or FAQs Thanks. adam
