HP 1210 Drivers and Scanner HP Director Sofware CD

I just got a secondhand HP1210 printer, the owner doesnt keep the driver n CD anymore.

So I downloaded the driver from the hp homepage, but the printer doesnt seem like working after installing the driver.

Can anyone upload the CD at somewhere, send it to my icq or some link?

I think the original one from the HP sites were working, but it is really - really difficult to installing it.
Coz i have PSC1315 and the original driver from the CD is still the best rather than the updated on the sites. And i have trouble for a month to reinstalling it back to the original.
BTW did u pass the printer detection correctly....
Coz when i install my updated PSC driver i found it correctly installed when i found about more than 10 shortcuts in the windows - HP start menu, when i got 5 shortcut my PSC won't works

Endmukbud, my computer didnt even detect the printer after I have plugged in the printer usb cable :/ I hope the original cd will work for it.

Did the unit work well without the PC. ?? (the copy fucntion )
if it is, so the problem was on the driver
remember qbexx before you reinstall your driver...you should clean up your last installed HP PSC driver... They provide the tool at these link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?dlc=en&lc=en&product=90764&lang=en&cc=us&os=209

and make sure it's really - really clean, see HP installation directory in the Program Files directory....

Actually,That ftp seems to be closed...do you have another ftp?

Here is how to install those sucky HP "Carly Fiorina" drivers:

1) Remove any past driver installations you might have had
2) Turn off the PSC
3) Install the driver and let it proceed to the point where it asks you to connect the PSC
4) Copy the file psc1200.cab from the install cd to CProgram Files\Hewlett-Packard\Digital Imaging\product (you'll have to create the directory)
5) Turn on the PSC and let the driver proceed to the end.

It now works. HP sucks.

qbeexx , if you haven't found a different ftp for me, then just download the drivers from HP.com
