Having replaced the expired 6 Epson cartridges with compatible ( always been good on previous printers ) I now have a magenta tinge to everything like looking through rose tinted glasses - white is not white.

1) The test pattern looks perfect and indiscernable from Epson brand ink also all cartridges are firing without blockage.
2) Even by setting magenta to -20 which is as low as it will go the result is only slightly diminished, however the printer menu only offers cyan, magenta and yellow to be adjusted and not each of the 6 cartridges.
3) Is it likely the colour profile has changed.
4) Is it possible that the Light Magenta cartridge has been filled with full strength Magenta

Bright ideas would be very welcome please.

By printing pictures you can challenge the alternative ink manufacturer if it has done it's work well or not. The best aftermarket inks (MIS, Hobbicolors, Inktec) don't need or only a slight change in profile to get the colours just like the ones from the OEM ink. Another test is on 3 colour printers whether the composite black (C + M + Y) is perfectly black or with a colour cast towards purplish, greenish, reddish etc. This applies to printers who don't have a photoblack cartridge.

The conclusion is that the supplied ink in your aftermarket carts is of lesser quality.
