how to remove printhead?

My Canon i860 inkjet printer suddenly started to print strange colors. The nozzle check utility of the printer driver has wrong colors -- the colors are not only the wrong color but each color (magenta, cyan, yellow, etc.) are multicolored. Furthermore, the colors are not the same each time the nozzle check is run. Deep cleaning doesn't help at all.

I want to remove the print head and try to clean it, but I don't know how to remove it from the printer.

Can you tell me how to remove it?

Take a look at the picture on this post:

See the gray tab just to the right of the cartridges? After you remove all the cartridges, you just lift that tab. Then you can grab the black handle for the print head and out it comes. Some printers have the tabs on the left side.

Roofrabit, you probably have a leak from one of your cartridges. I don't think it has a clog that needs to be cleaned.
