How do you remove hot glue?

I am using the Top-Fill method to refill my CLI-221/220 carts on my Canon PIXMA MX870. The InkTec rubber plugs that I am using do not stay put. I have lost three plugs to the internal workings of the printer.

I would like to use hot glut to seal the holes.

Question: how do you remove the hot glue from the hole?

Also, can someone recommend a hot glue and a hot glue gun.

Note: According to the internet Isopropyl alcohol can be used to remove the hot glue. Is this true?

Thank you.

I just used my finger's nails to removed it . It's very easy to take off.

If you leave a small amount of wax over the hole when resealing.
Then using a small scalpel or craft knife push the edge of the blade under the wax and lift very lightly.
The wax will release its seal and will be then very easily removed.
You can pick up a glue gun and wax sticks in any hobby or DIY store.. :)
