I posted here a while back asking for advice on starting a tshirt printing business.

One of the things suggested as a DTG (Direct to Garment) printer.
These are super expensive. And what I read: don't bother with the cheap ones ($15,000), these will just take loads of time and be hard to use. Instead, use a 'proper' one - costing $100,000 or something.

I came across something yesterday: home made DTG printers!
Awesome!
Just do a youtube and you'll see loads.

Inks washing off???
I wish! I had a brand new pair if white Vans canvass cotton trainers that loved!
While refilling the black, I somehow dropped a little bit of the black onto the trainers.
I spent days (seemed like it!) trying to scrub the ink off!
Being a brave warrior (or stupid idiot), I've also lost 2 pairs of trousers where the ink *just* would not come off!!!!

What am I missing? Great idea to make a DTG printer?

Thanks!

It's one thing how good the ink sticks to the fabric, but the other how well such ink does under UV-light/sunshine or frequent washings or sweat or salty water or bleach .... try some to see what will happen to your stains
