Hi there i tried refilling a lexmark 36 even thoe its full the printer

Hi there i tried refilling a lexmark 36 even thoe its full the printer says its empty,i also have a lexmark 41 and 42 ink cartridge if i refill these will they say there empty too or do these cartridges not do that fill as many times as i like its getting confusing just dont want to waste ink if i cant refill them, Ccould some 1 please let me know?please help very frustrating rizlaman

despite refilling Lexmark 36 it will not work. Use Lexmark 36A this will do.

Some Lexmark models will allow you to manually reset your ink levels. This is done under the maintenance tab when you can tell your printer that you have installed a new cartridge. If your model allows this, you are in luck.

Other Lexmark models will NOT let you do this, but they remember the last 2 cartridges you have used. (HP does this as well).
So, start saving your empties. Once you have 2 empties, you can insert one, then insert the 2nd one. After that, insert the refilled one and the printer should recognize it as a new cartridge.
