While I’m at it how do you edit your Signature ? o_O
Just locate your profile link (Top right of page, to the left of the inbox link) click on that and then find "Signature" and edit away...

@stratman - We currently have attachments setup to accept the most common file types including:

  • zip
  • txt
  • pdf
  • png
  • jpg
  • jpeg
  • jpe
  • gif
Thanks for the info.

I find the controls with the new software are simpler than the previous concerning image uploading. I have yet to tap into the WYSIWYG drag and drop and manipulate size and position of images as seen in the video. Really nice features.

Yeah, that was a puzzler. Click on your name at the top right of the screen. Next, select Signature and either delete the text in the Signature box or leave it blank if it is blank and then click on Save Changes or hit enter on your keyboard.

I believe this is how I removed my Status Message as well - left it blank and hit enter or clicked on Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

I did a bit of digging around and tested some combos but it looks like you need to put all your printer specific information into the introduction thread Rob/Nifty has been posting about and then put a link in your sig' to that. The rest of your sig' is going to be for whatever you really want to include within the maximum character limit available.

Might I suggest:

Code:
I'm completely [URL='http://www.printerpotty.com/']Printer Potty[/URL]!!
:lol::gig

@The Hat : the character limit is 200, but sometimes it's 201, 202... I don't know how the software counts them, but my sig is 418. After the transfer to printerknowledge I added the last line, but that's it, it won't accept anymore.

Code:
[URL='http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53UtUnAgsxI']modded Canon Pixma MG5350[/URL] on [URL='http://www.octoink.co.uk/']Image Specialists(dye) + KMP(pigment) ink[/URL] refilled using [URL='http://www.octoink.co.uk/kb/getattachment.php?data=MTAzfFNxdUVhc3lGaWxsLVRvcGZpbGwtbWV0aG9kLWQ0LnBkZg%3D%3D']Top fill method[/URL] (CLI8 and PGI5 OEM cartridges)

I just re-did a Signature and then deleted it.

What is it you want to do with your Signature? I see you have as a Signature the following:
ONLY OEM Carts: (Top fill) i865 /iP4500 /iP4700 /iX 4000 /i9950. My Own Refill Method with PGI-9 / PGI-29 for iX7000, 9500 II & Pro 1.
Pigment & Dye inks By:precisioncolors/Octoinkjet.co.uk. + both KMP great Pigment Blacks
A4 Mono Lasers all OEM Toner & Carts:- Brother HL 1240 /Samsung ML 1450 / Samsung ML 1660.
Do you want to remove this or edit some of it out?

It might be that your edit is still too many characters. First copy your Signature to Notepad or some word processor app. Then delete your Signature completely. Refresh/Reload the screen and se if one of your posts still contain the Signature. If the Signature is gone then you can add back some of the text you saved from your previous Signature to make a new Signature. Or you can leave this blank.

Stratman you are correct it is to long 318 (Characters) to be precise.

So if I edit it I’ll have to chop it in half which seem crazy to me as this new forum
was suppose to be BIGGER and better in all thing, I am still not impress at all.

The new signatures now all look (Charlie Romeo Alfa Papa) maybe it’s for a good reason,
trying to promote the newer About Me section ? :sick

Which I’m not about to go there any time soon,
so I’ll just have to leave my signatureit as is. :hit

I wonder when we’ll get back to printer problem solving and spend less time
debugging this darn site. :idunno

Thanks guys.
P.S. I still think our name change was not a good idea..

After researching and building my new computer and then installing Windows 8 and tweaking (NOT twerking!) the OS and then installing all my applications... the new Nifty web site is a walk in the park and a thing of beauty with all its built in redundancies on getting tasks done. Just like in Windows there is more than one way to skin a cat to delete or copy a file as an example, I just noticed the rightward up pointing arrow in the navigation bar above the Inkjet Printer Forum banner that "Open Quick Navigation". The arrow is on the same line as where I have the "XXX" down below but way, way off to the right. I can not seem to position the "XXX" better off to the right, otherwise it would be.
