My name is Emma, I am aged 63. I am an fine art landscape photographer. I graduated from the University of Chester with a First Class Degree in BA Photography in June 2023. My printer is the Canon Pixma IP8750. Unfortunately, I have a problem with the printing output as can be seen with the attached prints. Can anyone identify what the issue is please. The ink cartridges are full or nearly full. i have gone through all of the maintenance actions with no change at all.

I am sorry to tell you this but your nozzle check is a bit of a mess..

It’s hard to say whether or not the cyan colour will come back to full with one deep clean or not, and the grey is not looking great either, don’t run more than one deep clean at one time..

If you run a deep clean and things don’t improve on your next nozzle check then your most likely going to need a new print head, before your prints can be normal again..

Hi, thanks for your reply. Will a printhead cleaner be an option as well. Can you recommend a good replacement printhead.

Is this a better output representation of a nozzle check rather than a scanned document

Your latest nozzle check, is good to go, so you can print once again, and have perfect prints.. Tip try running a nozzle check print each time before you start your daily print routine, that way you’ll know all the nozzles are clear and you won’t damage anything.. Happy printing..

P.S. you should never try any test prints if your nozzle check isn’t clear to start with..
