- Had: Canon iP5200 (died)
Hi everybody, I'm Chigwells and I'm new here today.
I had been running a Canon iP5200, which I was never happy with, happily it's now died on me
and I'm on my way to getting either an Epson R2880 or an R3000.
I'll be running either Lyson/Marrutt refillable cartridges, or Fotospeed, haven't decided yet.
With the Canon I'd bought Lyson refillables, but the thing was already so old the new setup never really got off the ground. However, when I did get some decent prints out of it, I was sold on the refillable system. Heaven, being able to print after print after print, and not be headached by sky-high running costs.
The difference between Lyson and Marrutt seems to be that the Lyson inks are made in England, that may be the reason why they are the more expensive of the two.
When I was at a trade fair recently, speaking to a Fotospeed rep, he advised me the refillable system would be preferred over a CIS system. I'm happy with that.
So that's me!
