Greets...first time poster here.
I've spend the obligatory hour or so introducing myself to issues surrounding refills and here's how I understand stuff. Please highlight things i need to revisit...
For anyone with a shred of DIY sense, re-filling is the way to go.
InkSupply.com's refill kit at $50 is at least close to a consensus choice.
I'm going to have to disable the 'level-indicator' at the OS and manually make sure I don't run stuff dry. (is this true even if I top levels off before my first 'level-low' message?)
One message referenced the advantage of having 2 set of OEM carts so the print heads aren't exposed to the air. How important is that? How much exposure is too much?
Is there a sticky thread somewhere that compares the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 main refill methods?
many thx to those of you who've spent the time needed to outline this process.
