re: @Emulator's photo of the flower. @3dogs has it just right! In addition to the fabulous color it has selective focus with a blurred neutral background, fantastic detail, and very good framing or cropping. @RogerB, likewise, has given us a picture that excels in selecting a dramatic point of view and great framing or cropping as well as all the attributes that constitute an excellent B/W print.
