flashing light cannon pixma ip1600

I printed a couple of pages and everything looked fine.
I shut the printer off and 3 hours later tried to print and received
15 flashing lights indicating the printer could not recognize the ink
cartridge.

Both cartridges are 1/2 full and would not be out of ink.


I removed both cartridges and wiped all the contacts clean and
reinstalled and received the same message.

I installed 2 new cartridges, a new usb cable and reinstalled the drivers, also reset the printer according to the instructions, same problem.

Any suggestions

Sounds like an electrical error, so you might want to call Canon at 1-800- 0K CANON.

If your printer is under warranty, it will be replaced. If not, you can still talk or e-mail a techician...Good Luck!
