I don't know. I would have to dismantle the printer to get to that position, and I can't do that. It is still under warranty...

L.E.: Ok, I used 2 small mirrors... It looks exactly like that. If your printer is still opened, could you take some pictures, please? Thank you!

Download this software: https://rapidshare.com/files/1749656189/ServiceTool_V2000.exe

With the printer turned off, but connected to a power source:
-press and hold the cancel button (lower)
-press and hold the power button (higher) - now both buttons are pressed
-release the cancel button, then press it twice - now only the power button is pressed
-release the power button - the printer is now in Service mode
-start the software and press the "EEPROM" button in the Main-Print section of the software.

The printer will print a page and the first two lines look something like this:

What is your "D" value?

If it's high you will have to reset it to 0:

1. Select 0
2. Press the 'SET" button.
Wait for the software to finish, then close it.

Turn off the printer, then back on.

Oh, don't lose the printed page, you may need it sometime. And don't press any other buttons in the software (unless you really want to ;) ).

I have a Pixma 3600, but sadly I have not been able to find a free service manual. However the Pixma 4700 and Pixma 3600 appear very similar, maybe the differences are only CD print capability and maybe a printhead with more nozzles. A simplified service manual for the Pixma 4700 is found here: http://www.gondack.com.ar/media/useruploads/files/ip4700-ssm.pdf

I think the Pixma 4700 service manual might be useful in troubleshooting the Pixma 3600. From page 9/24 of this manual it is seen that the error 6C10 is most likely caused by the purge unit, so my guess is that the spring is not placed correctly (yet).

Good luck with troubleshooting.
Peter.
