I recently refilled cartridges on a Canon i250 (worth every cent for $49) and did it so much that the reserve tanks overflowed and I had a flood of ink in my office. Now I have an Epson Stylus CX4800 and the skinny cartridges are $15-25 for black. However, I am afraid to use the refill kit for black ink (I got it yesterday). I would buy another Canon i250 if it would save the Epson. The Epson was purchased by my roommate who will HAVE FITS if I ruin her printheads. Help.

Don't refill then. You can still save a lot by purchasing prefilled 3rd party compatible ink tanks.
