Bought an Epson R380 on ebay, it has a new set of Epson cartridges in it, but it can't recognize any of the six cartridges. I replaced them with a new set of aftermarket cartridges that work in other Epson Claria system printers that I have, but the printer can't recognize any cartridges. I tried a set of refillable cartridges, it doesn't recognize those either, I put the new Epsons back in, still nothing.
I have a Mac and a PC, same results with both. I tried uninstalling the software in hopes that when reinstalled and it asked to be plugged in via USB cable that it would then recognize, but no luck, as soon as I turned the printer on it had the can't recognize message before I could plug it in.
I'm guessing this is a firmware problem, any ideas on how to reset it. Or other ideas to fix this problem?
