Output size aside, any preferences between the Epson P50 and an Epson 1500W

Am looking to use either with sublimation inks, have looked at sublimation printers but most are only four inks, so hoping six inks will give better images

Also, anyone purchased from wexphotographic?

Am looking for a printer without a paper tray where the paper flips over to print

I guess both P50 and 1500w/1400 could be a option because the support CD/DVD direct print so the could be feed the submlimation target upfront

I believe they share a similar (if not the exactly same) print head, so there is no much difference aside a max output width.

It also might be not too different from 4 color models in terms of print quality with sublimation, but I believe that P50 is a little bit faster in photo mode than most 4 color printers in it's price range.

I have an R2880 and Epson say it uses a higher quality ink set to the 1500W so would produce better images, however, as my printers only get to see genuine ink if it comes in the box, I suppose that theory is out of the equation?

The 1500 droplet size is 1.5pl against 3pl for the R2880 so, if using either for the sublimation inks the output is likely to be similar?

You can get the 8 sublimation inks for the R2880 but would it just add the cost of two litres of ink for not much gain in quality, I note that the transfer paper says not to use high quality settings as they will put too much ink on the paper and result in " ink bleeds ".

the main difference beneath the max print width are the capabilities of the printer driver. All A3+ printer drivers allow to use ICC profiles inside the printer driver. This allows to use printing software which is not able to do color management (like Epson Easy Photo Print) and do the color management inside the printer driver.
