Hi all.

Got a bit of a problem. Epson L5190 ink tank printer prints beautifully. The only issue I do have is this, whenever I print multiple sheets, whether from a pdf, a docx or a web page the printer will every now and then fail to pull in a page completely into the paper feeder and it would then show "paper jam" while sometimes it would pull in a page and then push it through as a blank page. This happens randomly during the print. All other pages not affected with this issue print out perfectly. It is frustrating, to say the least. The paper that registers as paper jam is wrinkle free with straight edges. The blank paper is completely clean with no print marks or smudges. The feed rollers are clean, and the texture of the rollers are course (the way they are supposed to be) Multiple tries printing multiple pages has yielded different results eg. print test 1 will give problems with 2 pages in a 15 page batch while the next print batch test will leave me with 4 pages with issues out of 15.

Also need to mention, I flashed with the latest firmware as well as installed the latest driver available.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

You are right that this is a pretty annoying printer performance; please let me raise several questions -
- how old is the printer - possibly still under warranty
- how much are you printing - a lot or not that much
- can you feed paper from diffrerent bins - does that make a difference
- does it happen more frequently when the paper bin is full or rather empty
- did the problem developped just recently or exists already since a longer time

Do you have access to the pickup roller - it could help to use a rubber roller cleaner if the
pickup roller slowly dried out over time, there are rubber cleaners on the market typically used
on copy machines, these could be cleaning sheets like these - as and example, you can find similar items in your country

You may find as well some rubber cleaning fluid which you would wipe over the pickup roller or you spray it on a piece of paper - almost wet it - and feed it through the printer several times.
