Hi Epsonites,
How are you?
Is there an Epson EcoTank Inkjet printer 30cm (A3) wide printer which can print on rolls 30cm wide?
Will it rewind the printed roll?
Thank you in advance.

That's difficult, the P700 and P900 printers have an optional roll holder but don't cut the paper, the P5000 has full roll handling capability but these are not Ecotank models. The T3100x as a 24" printer is an Ecotank model with full roll capabilities but probably too wide for you. And there are the Surelab printers like the D870 which only print on roll paper and only on 8" wide paper , these models run on large cartridges.

The ET 16650 is a A3 model and with RIP (PrintFab) i can print up to 10 m length.
But problem is, that this printer don't stop after print job, because he tries to eject the paper. And from roll this ends after full roll is ejected :) So you have to cut the paper before you print. And there is no rewinder...
If anybody has a tip not to eject the paper, i will be happy :)

You are using the wrong printer, you need one which supports roll paper via the driver - or you cut the paper to length before you start the printjob - or get another printer which supports roll paper via the driver - see my posting above - or you turn off power to the printer when the printjob is finished.

I found the solution. PrintFab has an option "roll", so the paper stops and you can start the next print job or make some copies of last job.
There is a 30 day full working demo version to check. I get no provision, this is only for info because i'm happy :)

That's the best option indeed and solves your problem; I tested Printfab some time ago, but I was not happy with it , I don't like this and that and the type of dithering they do; but it's o.k. if it solves your problem

I used PrintFab in the first years of development. It was free and ICC Service was cheap. Later I used only the original drivers because I bought a barbieri spectro swing.
But meanwhile PrintFab has some more possibilities :)
