Hi recently purchased an all-in-one (printer/ scanner/ fax) Epson DX7000F. I'm quite happy with it, but everytime I power it up (plug it into wall socket, switch on printer), it insists on charging the ink cartridges.
This means I lose ink everytime I power it up to use it. Is there any way to prevent this? I'm guessing then I should leave it plugged in and in Standby, but I'm not currently using the Fax and it seems a waste of electricity. As it's new, maybe there's an internal battery backup that remembers the settings when you power down (bit like a VCR), so maybe this internal battery would need to be charged up?
There's nothing mentioned in the instruction manual, or on the Epson website, any help most appreciated.
