Hi I bought this printer about 6 months ago and tried precision color inks, I don't think it was the new EV6 inks though, and I see when I have a photo exposed to the light it will fade to orange color which seems weird, I also have a Canon iP4500 which I have used Hobbicolors ink and I have not seen any fading when exposed to light, I am now ready to buy new inks and need some opinions as has anyone used the new EV6 from Precision colors? thank you Chris;)

may I refer you to a lengthy thread just about this subject - currently I'm aware of only a few inks with greatly improved longevity - the original Epson Claria inks, the DL inks used in the Drylab Fuijifilm photofinishing printers like the DX100 and the equivalent inks by Epson for their Surelab photofinishing printers D700 and D3000, which are called Ultrachrome D6 - 6 Dye inks.

I'm currently testing the EV6 ink set by precisioncolors, and a D3000 compatible ink from China, I'll report findings in the thread above whenever there is a clear result in days or weeks.

as it stands how , with some hinderances - the EV6 ink may be a little bit better than
the Coralgraph Epson dye ink, the D3000 chinese ink patches and the Fujifilm DL patches
don't show obvious decolorations yet

So the precision EV6 seem good? I am thinking of trying the Inkowl Fade resistant Dye ink as I read it's pretty good, what you think?
