Getting Fingers Dirty
When it was pointed out that my leaking cartridge would eventually bring waste tank problems I wanted to find out how full the tank was. Unfortunately all the instructions available to obtain this did not work (or I simply did not do them quite right). The Nifty- Stuff article on waste tank got me into the Service mode but I could not find the right menu for the test print and there is a lot of damage I guess could be done from here.
So I bought a service Manual.
To get an Enhanced Nozzle check and other info Do as follows (at your own risk)
Printer on paper loaded.
Display Action
Press Menu then scan then copy then scan
Service mode Press up arrow then OK
Test Mode Press Menu
Factory mode Press right arrow
[2] Printer OK
Syukken OK
It then prints two sheets
At the top
MODEL Name ROM Version USB Serial Number REs For Factory use Ink Waste Amount CDR Corrn
My waste ink amount was 027.7 ie I guess 28%?
I hope I'm not duplicating info already on the forum but I certainly could not find it if I have.
Now the black leak problem seems Ok I have the middle of the yellow not printing - don't you just love printers!!!
