I am using refillable cartridges in my Epson printers (4880, 4800, p600). I notice that when I fill a cartridge with fresh ink (extracted from OEM Epson cartridges), that color works great for a few months. Then, it feels like the ink is becoming more viscous, as if some of the liquid has evaporated. Accordingly, there is a greater chance of drying out and clogs with viscous ink.
A question:

Can I add a few drops of liquid to make up for evaporated liquid? (Say 1-2 ml per 100 ml ink?) Should I use distilled water or 100 percent isopropyl alcohol? Anything else? Does anyone know what is the main solvent of Epson ink and what can be used to imitate evaporated solvent? (For example what do third party ink manufacturers use as solvent?).
