I have two 7900. In the attempt to troubleshoot one of them, I put the print head in the working one.

Immediately after that, ALL cartridges has an X over them.

No matter what I do and how I take them out, reboot, even put in a new cartridge.. I come back to this error.

Does anybody have a clue what to do?

My stomach hurts. I spent so much time fixing the one that is now completely out of function.

Did you follow the procedures in the service manual and also perform the Head Rank ID adjustment when swapping the print head?

No, I did not. I had read somewhere that it would work without doing so, but I was probably a bit too fast..
I was thinking that I could just swap back again, but..

Double check all head flat ribbon cables are in the correct connectors and are fully and squarely inserted correctly, then perform the adjustments as indicated in the service manual.
