Hi guys, im in need of a printer for printing out cards. I need something fairly inexpensive 50-150 that can print a4/a5 format as standard. CISS would also be preffered. good quality photo prints are fairly important. thanks for any advice and help.

I can't say its the best choice for your needs but I have a HP printer that uses HP 564 cartridges and the prints seem much sharper than HP cartridges before it. So, you might want to consider them. You can also check out HP printers that use HP 940 cartridges and also check out Epson printers.

If you want good photo quality and CISS then Epson is really your only choice.

The Artisan series should work fine for you. Just choose the model that meets your needs and budget.

Would the epson p50/ artisan 50, be a suitable choice with a CISS setup?

That is a good choice as long as you don't care about auto duplex functionality.
