I set out to design and print a Tool Globe to stand my smaller tools in for easy access, this is what I should have ended up with. o_O

But things don’t always go the way you planed, I ran out of Feckin filament 75% through the process at about 5 a.m. this morning, while it was still printing it look like the Friggin Death star under construction, now it’s a bowl or a goblet, and Mrs The Hat has her eye on it...

Had I not been too tired I would have checked on it earlier long before disaster struck, and change the roll over to the last remaining bit of black filament left, yet again another part of the learning curve, don't start something that you can't finish..:old

Just call it a potpourri bowl and gift it to Mrs. The Hat. She would never have known your misfire and would have been happy, maybe even allowing you an extra portion of vegetables tonight. :D

Umm, the Death Star gets blown up. Are you sure this isn't Project Doomed To Fail?

    Bummer!

I finally got to the end of my first 1kg spool of white filament (it lasted FOREVER since I was mostly printing small stuff with low infill). I got a chance to "hotswap" filament... basically pushing a new line of filament behind the previous one. I did this with 2 other small spools of filament and it worked pretty well!

    See an example here:

I’ve gone through 3 rolls and yes pausing or clicking on change the filament is the proper thing to do, otherwise its start the whole darn thing again...
You only run out of filament once, to learn the hard way..
No I will use edit and cut to save the death star the second time.. :p
