cross contamination

ok i have been refilling my i560 with a syringe for a good 3 years, without any problems, the carts i use have a rubber plug that looks like a barrel, they work great, now for the 1st time i experenced cross contamination, my magenta bleed into the yellow, and i don't have any idea why, my 2nd question it seems that every time i pull a cartridge to refill i check the alignment and it needs to be adjusted, why is that when i'm moving carts but not moving the print head. i have a new ip4200 in the box thinking that my i560 would be going into old age syndrome but after finding this forum and learning about flushing carts i may never open up the ip 4200 this is the best forum for inkjets
