I have a Canon MP780 whose ADF (auto document feeder) was misfeeding.
I got it to work by running an inkjet cleaning sheet several times through the ADF, the last time I folded the cleaning sheet in half to create more pressure on the rollers.
Inkjet printer cleaning kits are available at most office supply stores. The sheets are pre-moistened with alcohol, but I used a dried out sheet that I kept from a previous cleaning session.
