I know exactly what you mean @rodbam, the rate of change etc., but the Pro9000 sitting on the desk still functions remarkably well, doesn't seem to age like me!

Perhaps we all need a refill and a new print head! It looks as though @3dogs hasn't read the messages yet.

The Pro-1000 is also subject to a fat rebate I suspect!!!! it appears that way.

It's near Canon volume rebate season and these dealers must meet quota on printers to get those fat rebate cheques for volume commitment.
That's possibly whey they go for less than cost to get back rebates on lenses and cameras.
