Canon pixma mp150 wont turn on

Hello hello, new here, feel like a dolt but can't get my printer on. Have no longer got the user manual. when i plug it in i just have a constant amber light next to the triangle with a zigzag in the middle...have put cartridges in and out, changed fuse, turned on and off...several times...been here three hours and feel like throwing it out of the window...can anyone help please?
