My Pixma IP4300 was working perfectly. I had just printed a DVD cover and it powered off automatically after 5 mins like it normally did, then I sent another print job to it and... nothing. No lights or anything. I've changed the fuse, tried another power cord, removed the power block from inside, unattached and reattached the power molex.

Is it time to get a new printer or can this be repaired/cured cheaply enough?

Regards

How long did you wait from when power was removed to plugging it back in?

I just had a weird occurrence on my daughter's iP4500 where it was unplugged for a week (spring break), when I plugged it in I pressed the power button and held it for a couple seconds. It turned on, heard it go through its girations then it turned off. I couldn't turn it back on for nothing. My daughter left it unplugged until the next day then it turned on and printed fine. I don't know what needed to be reset by waiting but it did. As I said, weird.

Have you tried to plug the printer in any other power outlet? :)
