Hi,
I am having some issues with printing coloured documents (eg photos and where there are solid blocks of colours).
Fine horizontal lines are appearing on some of the colours. On a test print of black, yellow, magenta and blue, the lines are about 1cm apart on magenta and 0.5 cm apart on blue.
Black is pretty good - has some marks about 2cm apart but not too bad and yellow has no noticeable lines.

Any ideas on what the cause of this may be? The test printout from the Nozzle check in Maintenance is showing no issue.

I've seen some comments about the contacts being dirty as well as nozzles clogged.

I have been using a RIHAC CISS for about 8 months with no real issues.

Thanks,
Geoff

Hi Geoff the best thing you can do is to post a nozzle check on here for us to have a look at it.
Patience can also be a help in your situation so dont be in to much a hurry to get back to your printing again.

In the mean time I would advise you not to do anything (Print wise)
until you can sort this problem out, nozzle checks are ok..:)

This is not a nozzle check. You can get a nozzle check using the maintenance menu on your printer.

The nozzle check looks pretty good there are a few faint lines in it but nothing terrible.

You could try cleaning the timing strip thats attached to the back of your print head.
Its the thin white strap that carries data to your print head.

Its easy cleaned just use a small clean cloth or a paper towel with some alcohol and gently clean back and front.
After you have done that then print the 4 colour test sheet you posted earlier and report back if it worked or not..:)
