Canon Mg5400 Color Management

I'm having difficulty getting the printer output to match what appears on my monitor. I had an i860 that sadly bit the dust. I loved the output from it. This printer lacks clarity in that it is dull and dark. I'm not sure what changes to make to get an acceptable print.

Thanks, but I think I've solved my problem. It's amazing what reading directions can do.
