hi guys

I have brand new canon Mg5250, I have problem when I use decor paper plus icing sheets.

The half dozen rollers on outfeed are spiked and they pick up the undry ink and put spike marks down the sheet with a bit of ink in them.

Is this a case of using paper to thick or is there a setting to open these out(i already have abrasion on)

thanks for reading, hope it make sense

I noticed spike marks on photos printed with my MG5250 when it was new, but the marks not visible at all now. I think the sharpness of the spikes has just worn off a bit with age.

Alternatively (just guessing), you could try slowing the printer down to give the ink more time to dry before it gets spiked. Try ...

1. Set "Quiet Mode" = On (in the Maintenance Tab)

2. Set "Print Quality" = High (in the Main Tab)

3. Set "Media Type" = Other Photo Paper (in the Main Tab). I think this gives the slowest printing speed, but you could experiment.
