Canon ip5000 top cover removal -- front right fastener stuck

I have two Canon ip5000 printers and have successfully removed the covers and the rest to clean the waste ink absorbers on one of them. I've successfully reassembled it.


But, for the second printer, I am unable to get the top cover off. I've removed the side covers and the fasteners for rear latches for the top cover. I've also unfastened the front left top cover latch. But, push as I may, the front right latch ( bend plastic in front of arrow) does not loosen the cover. My fingers are numb.

Thanks for the reply, Peter. Those were the instructions that I was following. My problem occurred at Step 2, eighth picture.
