Hi, ive got a problem with my canon ip4950. Iam a big fan of the cd priting function. If i print a cd the first one is usally fine but the discs i print after that one get worse and worse. The problem is that the bk nozzle bung and a normal or intense cleaning doesnt do the job.

Ive tried to put the printing head in warm and destilated water. After that the nozzle check looks good. Today i printed some dvd and noticed the black font lacks of contrast. A nozzle check showed my that my bk is bung again.

Any idea what the problem causes and what to do?

The problem you have is not caused by your print head at all and any amount of cleaning won’t solve the problem either, the real cause is the Bk black cartridge itself.

If you replace this BK cartridge with a known good one then your problems will be no more, I can hazard a guess that you’re using refilled cartridges because what you have is a classic case of ink starvation, you may need to look into your refilling procedure again.
