Getting Fingers Dirty
My Epson printer has just died and I'm looking for a replacement. I want to go Canon and I see the IP3600 has good reviews and at about my budget. I need a general all round printer with occasional photo use (8 * 10s). I note this printer has smaller cartridges and also only OEM ones are available. I have seen the IP3500 is still available in the UK (just) and 3rd party cartrides are available and the chip can be reset. So the questions are:
1. Is it likely that 3rd party cartridges will become available for the 3600?
2. Will I notice the difference in the print resolutions?
3. (More general) Do 3rd party inks print with the same results as the OEM ones?
My general feeling is to go for the 3500 but just want peoples opinions as to whether the 3600 is worth the extra hassle.
