Canon inkjet pickup rollers - where are they?

I ask because I occasionally re-use paper that's dogeared or has been stapled or folded, and I'd like to make sure I'm inserting the paper so the clean end is gripped by the pickup apparatus.
I guess the location might vary between models? My Canons are MX726 and MG7760.

For cassette feed the pick up rollers are at the bottom of the printer near the back side of the printer. When you pull out the cassette to add the dogeared sheet of paper, the best edge should be at the far end of the cassette.

If your printers have rear feed for paper I recommend to use that instead of the cassette. The paper path is more straight and there is less risk of the dogeared sheet of paper getting stuck in the printer. When using the rear feed the best edge of the paper should be downwards.

I guess it varies a lot between Laser and Inkjet printers. My Brother HL-2130 has a quite elaborate pickup mechanism mounted on the front of the cassette.
